Curtiss P-40 Warhawk

Flown by the Tuskeegee Airmen during the first half of the movie. The CGI and mock-up planes are the P-40E whereas the real planes seen in the movie are P-40N. The latter was also used as a stand-in for the P-40E in the movie Pearl Harbor.

North American P-51C Mustang

Seen during the opening battle used as fighter escort for the B-17s.

North American P-51D Mustang

Resquested by Colonel Bullard and used during the second half of the movie as the replacement for the older P-40s.

Messerschmitt Bf 109 G

Used throughout the whole movie by the German Luftwaffe.

G-6 (or later model) with the Rüstsätze R6 (20 mm cannon underwing gondola).

Junkers Ju 87 B Stuka

Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe

Used by the Luftwaffe during the final battle. The Messerschmitt Me 262 was never used in such large numbers as seen in the movie.

The four 30mm cannon of the Schwalbe in action during a face to face fighting. The american pilot is several times hit by these deadly weapons but doesn't died !

Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress

Seen in several shots.

Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress

Most B-17s are the G-Model. They are seen camouflaged, but also in a bright aluminum-finish.

Worn a mix of 2nd Bombardment Group and 99th Bombardment Group tail code.
