The color and numbers of this helicopter's registration changes constantly in the film, between black and white numbering, and between CCCP-26540 and CCCP-25640. Probably indicating that more than one airframe was used. Of these, only CCCP-25640 appears to be a real registration, associated with c/n 3055.

Registration N74056, c/n 417 built in 1958. Reportedly this helicopter was one of two Vertol 44s and two Sikorsky S-58s ordered by Nikita Khrushchev after riding in Marine One with US president Dwight Eisenhower during a 1959 visit to the US. It remains preserved at Central Air Force Museum in Monino.

Painted with false registration L-274F1. Actually registration Л-27491, c/n 58-1241. Another one of the four helicopters ordered by Nikita Khrushchev after his 1959 visit to the US. Later reregistered CCCP-27491, it was preserved at Monino for some amount of time but eventually dismantled.
