The Lockheed Model 18 Lodestar is a passenger transport aircraft first introduced in 1940. Designed as a civilian aircraft it was also operated by various militaries around the world. 625 of the aircraft were built with a handful remaining airworthy as of 2010.
Military models are the C-56 / C-57 / C-59 / C-60 or C-66 for the Air Forces and R5O for the U.S. Navy.
