Now retired, Chappy Sinclair is running a flight school for young offenders with the help of former charge Doug Masters. During a flying competition, Masters and the trainees stumble across some Air Force officers moving canisters of chemical weapons from an abandoned base. It falls to Chappy, Doug and the team of reforming youths to foil the deadly conspiracy by fighting it in the skies.

General Dynamics F-16A Netz
First seen in the beginning of the film in an alternative take of the beginning of Iron Eagle II where Doug Masters bails out of his plane. Later on at the end of the film they are used by officers in the corrupt unit and also by Doug who uses one to shoot the others down. The scenes using these aircraft are largely lifted from the earlier films in the Iron Eagle series.
Lockheed C-130E Hercules
Used by the rogue unit to take the chemical weapons to Cuba. It is hijacked by Peter and Kitty who jettison the weapons canisters and take out the crew before landing back at the base.
Bell 206L-1 LongRanger
Used by Major General Kettle, first to take Chappy to Craig Airforce Base and then in an attempt to get away. It is shot down by Doug in the F-16.

A repeat of the opening of Iron Eagle II these are described as Russian MiG 29s who escort Masters' F-16 out of Soviet Airspace and shoot his plane down.
