Synopsis
Dalziel and Pascoe was a TV detective series based on a series of books by Reginald Hill about the titular characters Detective Superintendent Andy Dalziel and Detective Sergeant (from Series Two onwards Inspector) Peter Pascoe. Like all good detective duos Dalziel and Pascoe are chalk and cheese. Blunt, plain spoken Dalziel is from the old school of policemen whereas Pascoe is a more caring and thoughtful figure with (as Dalziel is fond of mentioning) a degree in social sciences.
It is the job of the duo to keep their Mid Yorkshire beat crime free and catch anyone who violates the law.
