The Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar is a twin-engined, twin tail-boom military transport aircraft. It first flew in November 1947 and ceased production in 1955 after which over 1,000 had been built. Although primarily operated by the US military many examples were operated countries throughout Europe, Africa and Asia.
