When a mysterious signal interupts the satellite network, the existance of an extra-terrestrial space ship is discovered. David Levinson quickly uncovers the reason for the code - a signal to attack earth. After narrowly avoding the attack the President and entourage make their way to the 'non-existant' Area 51. When all attempts to retalliate against and destroy the ETs fail Levinson proposes a space mission to infect the machines, in parallel with a worldwide counter-offensive to bring down the ETs once and for all.
