Owned by Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) at time of filming, this aircraft remains the oldest surviving Liberator today, now kept in flightworthy condition by the Commemorative Air Force as Diamond Lil, registration N24927. Same aircraft in other works at IMPDb: Frequently Seen Aircraft (Military Fixed-Wing).
Used in the film to portray Liberator registration XA-KUN, an aircraft operated by TAMSA in which Pedro Infante and two others were killed in a crash on 15 April 1957. Sources vary on whether this aircraft was a B-24J or a C-87.
