Max Holste MH.1521 Broussard

With green in place of blue on the rudder, these French aircraft are supposedly Italian. But Italia never ordered Broussard for its state services (Army, departments, ...).
White roof and orange dayglo panels are typical of French Armies (Air Force or ALAT or Naval Air Force). All unit markings have been erased as like as manufacturer / type on the rudder.

Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress

Registration F-BGSP, former s/n 44-8846 built in 1944. Pink Lady during her six missions over Germany in the spring of 1945. Back to the USA and war surplus in November 1954. Bought by French IGN (for : Institut géographique national -National Institute of Geographic-) in December 1954 which used her until 1979 (with some movie featuring for which she's repainted; used for mapping purposes, the chin turret and the bomber's rack have been dismantled as seen in the movie). After being in storage for a few years, it was revived to mark the 40th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Switch to F-AZDX registration and then spent several years on the airshow circuit before being definitively discontinued in 2010. She's now the master piece of the Salis / AJBS flying museum of La Ferté-Alais (OACI code : LFFQ).
Same aircraft in other works at IMPDb: Frequently Seen Aircraft (Military Fixed-Wing).
